AMS 3301K is a standard developed for silicone (MQ/VMQ) elastomer manufactured components designed for aircraft applications. These materials operate in environments generally ranging from -85°F (-65°C) to 400°F (204°C) in temperature, though that can change depending on design requirements and fluid exposures.

AMS 3301K is suitable for silicone rubber in the form of molded shapes, extrusions, tubing, and strips. AMS 3301K is not appropriate for molded rings or O-ring cord, compression seals, or molded-in-place gaskets for aerospace applications or for components that will come into contact with gasoline, aromatic fuels, or low-aniline-point petroleum-based fluids while in service.

Please note: The information outlined above is to be used as a reference for AMS 3301K Elastomer: Silicone Rubber (MQ/VMQ), General Purpose, 35 - 45 Durometer Type ‘A’ Hardness. Please refer to SAE International for full details and the most current revision.
