Atzemis leads our efforts to expand Smithers’ technical consulting offerings into additional markets and enhance the team’s capabilities. His varied technical background will assist clients with compound development, failure analysis, and new material application support.

Before joining the team at Smithers, Atzemis was Chief Operating Officer at Lianda Corporation. Prior to his time at Lianda, Atzemis spent over seventeen years in leadership roles focused on technical services and business development in the rubber, plastic, and color additives businesses.

Qualifications and Professional Accreditation

Atzemis earned his Bachelor of Science in chemistry from John Carroll University and his Master of Science in chemical entrepreneurship from Case Western Reserve University. Chad is also on the board of the Ohio Rubber Group and holds a Six-Sigma Green Belt.
