James White, Principal Project Manager, will be speaking at the upcoming
ISTA Forum 2023 in Houston, Texas, from April 30
th to May 3

White’s presentation, titled “Understanding the Distribution Hazards of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCGs) Throughout Europe,” is scheduled for Wednesday, May 3, at 11:00 am CDT, as part of the TransPack speaker lineup. White will present the results of an ISTA-supported data collection study detailing the transport modes, storage, and handling involved in the distribution of consumer-packaged goods (CPGs) in five routes throughout Europe, including:
- East / west routes
- North / south routes
- Land routes
- Sea routes

distribution testing is incredibly advanced due to his extensive experience working with Smithers clients across multiple sectors,” said Sam Sheppard Fidler, Vice President of Materials Science and Engineering, Europe. “His presentation will be an incredible asset to anyone seeking to understand the relationship between distribution data and real-world performance.”
White’s expertise extends across many key fields, including medical devices, lithium batteries and cells, and sustainable packaging practices. He joined the Smithers team in 2011, after earning his Bachelor of Engineering degree from Lancaster University.
