LEATHERHEAD, Surrey, UK – 14 October 2019 – Smithers –the worldwide authority on the packaging, paper and print industry supply chains – has announced that its leading print industry expert will be presenting at The Inkjet Conference (6th European edition) for all involved in Inkjet Engineering and Inkjet Chemistry in Dusseldorf on 29-30 October 2019.
Sean Smyth, who has spent over 25 years as a consultant in the print industry, will present the latest Smithers research into the changing print markets, identifying the areas where inkjet is making headway, particularly in labels and packaging. According to Smithers recent inkjet study the market is valued at over $77 billion in 2019 it will soon breach the $100 billion barrier as it grows at 8.4% year-on-year through to 2024. Sean will also discuss the growth potential for inkjet outside the traditional graphics and packaging markets, including textiles, ceramics and other industrial sectors including printed electronics and particularly décor and wallpaper sectors.
With drupa 2020 firmly on the horizon there will be a further boost to the technologies available, Sean will share some of Smithers forecasts on what the market will see and how these will open further applications.
